My training manager brought this to the attention of the senior account manager, who explained that since I am a FT employee, I must use my PTO to request any time off.Īdmittedly, this is my first 'real deal' full-time job. I also spoke to my chief scribe in the onboarding meeting we had and was met with exactly the same response.īut when I went on Workday to request the time off, I wasn't able to select "unpaid" for the type of time off. In my interview, I brought this up to the lady interviewing me and she said I should have no problem getting this time off as it was set in stone prior to me being hired, and also because I'm a full-time employee so requesting off 2-3 days shouldn't be an issue. Prior to being hired, I had a weekend in November and a weekend in December that I purchased plane tickets for and thus was going to be out of town. Something came to my attention today after trying to request some time off through Workday.
